Reminiscence (one horses voice)

Lightning and thunder struck, while the dogs took cover in the house, we took off and searched for shelter. Bianca prepared the stables and in a blue rain coat, called out to us...But, by then we'd entered the secret avenue for the first time. Ancient, the roots had outgrown the earth, risen and taken up residence above it. Branches sweeping the floor, we stepped over them and towards a wooden arch. There, cocooned in green moss, enormous willows sheltered us. Through the lashes of rain we saw the light. A tiny torch it bobbed towards us....
